AR Follow-Up Specialist

Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated AR Follow-Up Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team in Ahmedabad. This is a work-from-office, night shift position aligned with US business hours, supporting our American healthcare clients across multiple specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on outstanding insurance claims with US payers (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
  • Identify and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments through appeals and resubmissions
  • Conduct payer-specific portal follow-ups and outbound calls to insurance companies
  • Document all AR activity, call outcomes, and resolution notes in the billing system
  • Work aging reports and prioritize accounts by payer and dollar threshold
  • Coordinate with the billing and coding team to resolve coding-related denials
  • Meet daily and weekly productivity and collection targets

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of US medical billing AR or denial management experience
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding and common denial reason codes (CO, PR, OA)
  • Familiarity with at least one US EHR/PM system (Kareo, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, or similar)
  • Strong English communication skills — written and verbal
  • Ability to work night shift hours aligned with US Eastern / Central Time Zone
  • Willingness to work full-time from our Ahmedabad office (no remote or hybrid)

Nice to Have:

  • CPC, CPMA, or CMRS certification
  • Experience in specialty billing (mental health, orthopedics, cardiology)
  • Experience with denial appeal letters and peer-to-peer coordination

Shift: Night shift, Monday–Friday, aligned with US Eastern Time Zone business hours. Office location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. No remote or hybrid option available for this role.
